Welcome

   This course, taught by Rev. Dr. Gail Williams,  seeks to examine the central theme of all of Jesus’ teachings, the kingdom of God/Heaven. Since, Jesus never gave one all-encompassing definition of the Kingdom, because it is too complex, vast and intricate, this course will focus primarily on one aspect of the Kingdom – the system of management by which God governs and controls everything He has made.  In so doing, we are attempting to better understand and implement God’s process, or His ways, in daily living, thereby interacting favorably with the systems of the kingdom of God. 

     Rev. Darryl Washington facilitates an informative journey through biblical prophecies, theological debates, and the hope that sustains believers as we anticipate the unfolding of God's divine plan for end times. An examination of key scriptures that deepen our understanding of how eschatology influences Christian faith, ethics, and mission.

This training taught by Leasia L. Brooks, a licensed clinical professional counselor, gives you the skills necessary to:

(1) provide initial support to someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use problem and 

(2) help connect them to the appropriate care. 

This training covers common signs and symptoms of mental illness & substance abuse. The participants will learn how to interact with a person in crisis using the five step ALGEE action plan.  

NOTE: Successful completion of this training will result in a MHFA Certificate and 7.5 CEU’s granted by The National Council for Behavioral Health.
