MY SISTER'S KEEPER-WOMEN'S FALL RETREAT - OCT. 4TH & 5TH

Rev. Dr. Denise A. Graves is a woman 

who God has had Hits hand on the throughout her entire life. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, to a God-fearing family and was raised in the Pentecostal denomination, attending church with her late maternal grandmother. It was there that Rev. Graves was christened, attended worship service and Sunday School throughout her youth. Although raised in a Pentecostal tradition, Rev. Graves attended Brownies and the Girl Scouts as a youth, served as an usher after joining Bridge Street AWME Church in 1982 where her aunt attended. 

Rev. Graves received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1990. She then enrolled in and graduated from Community Bible Institute under the direction of the late Bishop James F. Copeland. It was there that the Lord called Rev. Graves into ministry and ordered her to continue her education in Christ. 

Rev. Dr. Denise holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the College of New Rochelle, a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry from New York Theological Seminary. She is an ordained Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church since 2001. 

Dr. Graves currently serves as Associate Minister at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Burlington, NJ where her duties include preaching; Bible Study Instructor, Liaison to the Mission Ministry, Assistant Director of Christian Education, Mentor and Advisor to Many.
